Manufacturer's Product Description
AEG Jumper Cable SK 16
The AEG jumper cable SK 16 "Alu-Tec" has a red and a black cable with fully insulated Best-Contact pole clamps. The cables with copper-aluminium technology correspond to the conductivity of a 16 mm² copper jumper cable and thus comply with DIN 72553. The colours are important indicators of where the cables should be connected. In any electrical system, electrical energy flows from the negative terminal of a battery through a system of wires to the positive terminal to power something - in this case, the vehicle's starter - along the way.

Product Details of the AEG Jumper Cable
SAFE
The AEG jumper cable SP 16 provides safe and fast support for starting weak and discharged 12 V and 24 V car batteries. Petrol engines up to 2500 cm³ can be safely jump-started with the fully insulated Best-Contact pole clamps of the cable, ensuring optimal grip. The cable complies with DIN 72553 and, with a cable length of 3 metres, offers a sufficiently large operating radius between vehicles.
PRACTICAL
For safe storage, the jumper cable comes in a practical bag with a zipper and carrying handle. This means it is quickly and safely at hand even in unfavourable conditions.
SUITABLE
For a jump start to work correctly, it must be ensured that the correct clamps are connected. The red cable of the AEG jumper cable always represents the side that should be connected to the positive terminal. The black starter cable should be connected to the negative terminal. Only touch the intended target with the clamps of the jumper cable.
AEG Automotive – Innovation Meets Tradition
Founded by Emil Rathenau in 1887 as the "Deutsche Edison-Gesellschaft für angewandte Elektrizität" (German Edison Society for Applied Electricity), the company later merged with its subsidiary Telefunken AG and was subsequently acquired by Daimler. After that, Electrolux reshaped the AEG brand. From the production of the first electric refrigerator to the first heat pump technology for tumble dryers – inventions that made history. AEG Automotive builds on this and is committed to being one innovation ahead.
